More "Choice Lab" Fun!

Here are a few more action shots from our choice lab work days!  Lost of good stuff going on!  The lab write ups are due at the start of class Monday!

What a mess...who's going to clean this up?!

Boiled milk anyone?  Are these glass beakers rated for this much heat?

I guess that answers our question!

Mouse maze....did not seem the least bit interested in the fruit!

Have a great weekend!

"Choice" Lab

Over the next few days in class, students have the opportunity to choose a problem and create/execute a lab to solve the problem.  This allows us to really dig into a problem using the scientific method.  The students really come up with some very interesting ideas, don't believe me.....take a look at the pictures and videos posted below!  Great conversations about the validity of the labs and what groups can do in order to get a better result!  Students have the chance to re-think and attempt the experiment again on Friday! Awesome group of students, it was a lot of fun!!

Frozen Mentos anyone?  Does a frozen mento react like the a room tempurature mento?

Elephant toothpaste anyone?

What color silly string should you buy if you want the most bang for your buck?

IF you were going to duct tape your friend to the wall, what type of tape would you want to buy?
